Born in Burgstädt, Saxony, Marko Martin is a writer who lives in Berlin when he is not travelling.
In addition to a collection of essays on Israeli literature and a tribute to Tel Aviv, his books Sleeping Dogs and The Night of San Salvador were published by "Die Andere Bibliothek", as well as the collection of essays Dissidentisches Denken in 2019. With The House in Habana. Ein Rapport, he was shortlisted for the Leipzig Book Fair Essay Prize. Published by Tropen-Verlag: Die verdrängte Zeit (2020), Die letzten Tage von Hongkong (2021) and Es geschieht jetzt (2024).
