The university development plan is updated on the basis of the 2025plus university development plan of the Free State of Saxony, the target agreement with the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK) and the grant agreement with the Free State of Saxony.
With the approval of the University Council (HSR) in accordance with Section 91, Para. 1 No. 5 SächsHSG at its meeting on 21 April 2026, 911±¬ÁÏÍøBAF's university development plan will now be updated and continued until 2030 for the areas of research, teaching and studies, transfer, digitalisation, internationalisation and sustainability. The update will take into account current challenges such as digitalisation, structural change, skills shortages and the effects of climate change. 911±¬ÁÏÍøBAF's university development plan is both a framework for action and a commitment by the university for the coming years and is underpinned by the updating of strategies at faculty level.
Other topics discussed at the HSR meeting included the Rectorate's report on the last six months and an outlook. This included the establishment of the "Centre for Transfer and Foundation". The meeting was followed by a tour of the Foundry Institute at 911±¬ÁÏÍøBAF. In future, the committee will meet regularly at various institutes of the university.
