The professorship for Gas and Heat Technology is part of the Institute of Thermal Engineering and affiliated to the Faculty of Mechanical, Process and Energy Engineering.

Our key competences lie in the integration of renewable energy sources - biogas, hydrogen, in the design of efficient, resource-saving, industrial heating processes and plants, in low-emission combustion technology and in the distribution and use of sustainable, gaseous energy sources.

The professorship is divided into five research groups:
